Buzzards Bay Eagles Invites You to Participate...

TOKA's Friends

Our goal is to help raise funds for Toka's Friends. Your support as a Walker, Sponsor, or Vendor will help fund the training of service dogs for veterans suffering from PTSD & TBI. These life changing animals are donated at no cost to the veteran.

This event will be May 18th, 2024 from 10am-4pm at 

Buzzards Bay Park.

Why support toka's friends?

Our brave service members experience situations that can negatively impact their lives forever. Toka's Friends believes that more can be done to help these courageous service members who continue to fight battles long after they have left the field of combat. We believe in the healing powers of dogs and their ability to help veterans overcome the effects of PTSD and TBI.

  

Did you know?

​

  • On average, approximately 18 military veterans commit suicide every day.
  • As many as 20% of all veterans are diagnosed with PTSD.
  • Trained service dogs can substantially improve the quality of life for veterans suffering from PTSD.


Toka's Friends is a non-profit, volunteer run organization that trains service dogs for military veterans suffering from PTSD, TBI and other difficulties. These service dogs are provided at no cost to the veteran.


how can you participate?

Walk, Sponsor, or Become a Vendor!

We have three different ways to participate in helping  Toka's Friends provide life changing service dogs to veterans suffering from the effects of PTSD and TBI.


First, sign up to WALK with us. Participants will enjoy a day cruising along the Cape Cod Canal while raising funds for the organization. Secondly, become a SPONSOR. Sponsors have the opportunity to promote their businesses in connection with Toka's Friends. The third way to participate is through becoming a VENDOR. Vendors are provided with a space to sell their products in the heart of downtown Buzzards Bay. Work with the Buzzards Bay Eagles to provide funding for veterinary costs, food, supplies and professional dog trainers are a few of the expenses incurred while training a service dog.
